Erin-Kaye Flor

Erin-Kaye Flor is a fourth-year senior, double majoring in Communication and Law and Society. Her academic interests include First Amendment issues, the social and legal implications of Computer-Mediated-Communication, and other regulations of communication industries. Aside from her academic interests, this Los Angeles native is President of the Pi Xi Chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society, has been a research assistant for the Communication Department, written news articles for the Daily Nexus, held a seat on the Residence Hall Review Board, and performed with the Women's Ensemble Theatre Troupe. She enjoys exploring large metropolitan areas, traveling, cooking, writing, and sampling exotic fruits. |
Chuck Templeton

Chuck Templeton is a fourth-year senior, double majoring in Philosophy and Law and Society. His academic interests include ethics, human rights, and alternative dispute resolution. Outside of the classroom he enjoys hiking, playing basketball, creative writing, and watching comedies. He looks forward to one day attending law school in northern California to pursue a career in family mediation. In the mean time, after graduating in the spring, he is looking forward to vacationing in Hawaii and spending time with family. |
Angela Dellecese
A true California girl, Angela Dellecese is a senior Anthropology major, with an emphasis on physical, who is looking forward to graduation this Spring. Her road to higher learning has been a confusing one, complete with a wide variety of coursework as a result of numerous major changes, but now is at home with Anthropology and feels it will provide the necessary skills she will need to be successful in the future. She has a date with the LSAT in February and plans to take a year off before pursing law school, hopefully at a university as beautiful as UCSB. After graduation, she plans to spend a month in Europe, exploring all the places and cultures she has studied over these past few years. When not preoccupied with school, Angela loves snowboarding, seeing live bands, and going to LA Kings games. |
Kaelan Dickinson
Kaelan Dickinson is a third-year Law and Society major and French minor. She came to sunny Santa Barbara from Anchorage, Alaska to swim for the University’s Division I Swim Team. After college, Kaelan plans to spend a year in France, and then return and attend law school, hopefully near her younger sister, on the East Coast. When she’s not studying, you can usually find her in the pool.

Andrew Ditlevsen
Andrew Ditlevsen is a senior, pursuing a double major in Communication and Law and Society as well as a double minor in Professional Writing and Sport Management. He has been a research assistant in the Communication Department, and conducted internships with UCSB Women’s basketball and the Exercise and Sport Studies Department. His academic interests include the relationship between criminal justice and economics, the application of law in times of rapid globalization, and the intersection of law and sport. He aspires to attend law school next fall and pursue a career as a legal professional. Aside from his academic pursuits, this Sacramento native enjoys playing golf, watching football with his friends, listening to music, and trying new types of food. |
Emily Germano
Emily Germano is a fourth-year major in Global and International Studies, and minor in Global Peace and Security. She hopes to obtain her international MBA someday, so she could run or own a multinational corporation. However, she puts heavy emphasis on social corporate responsibility because she believes that a corporation can be profitable while acting as an agent for positive changes in the global society. Emily has raised money for various non-profit organizations and social causes. She was a board member of YWCA. She was both a producer and director for a major benefit production of the Vagina Monologues for four years. She is enthralled with different cultures, and thus speaks several languages. |
Erica Herczeg
Erica Herczeg is a fourth-year double major in Law and Society and Psychology. After interning at the District Attorney's office in Ventura County this past summer and studying her life away, Erica has taken the LSAT this past December in hopes to attend law school on the east coast after taking a year off to work and travel. At the time, her interests lie in criminal justice and family law but one can't be sure where life will lead her. In her free time Erica loves to read, watch movies, and travel. |
Justin Mader
Justin Mader is a fourth-year student majoring in Law and Society. In addition to his position on the Editorial Board, he has served the residents of Francisco Torres Residence Hall as both a Co-President of the North Tower and as the Francisco Torres Area Representative at Large. Raised in Northern California, he has worked with the Juvenile Court system in his hometown to create alternatives to detention for youths within the juvenile justice system. He plans to pursue a joint degree in Business and Law after graduating from UCSB, but not before living out his lifelong interests of traveling the world, backpacking across the Northern California wilderness, and experiencing the vast unknown the world has to offer. |
Sarah Mirtorabi
Sara Mirtorabi is a second-year Political Science, Women’s Studies major, Professional Writing minor at UC Santa Barbara. She is currently the seniors editor for the Law Cumbre Yearbook, an active member of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law society, and Persian Student Group President in addition the Law and Society Journal editorial board. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sara has been exposed to the professional field of law and has hopes of pursuing a career as a lawyer.

Ursula Moran
Ursula Moran is a third-year Law and Society Major from San Clemente, California. She is a part of Alpha Phi Sorority and is an intern at the UCSB Visitors/Admissions Center. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain last summer for a quarter and wants to work as a legal analyst for the media, possibly CNN, after she graduates. She enjoys running, reading good novels, and hanging out with her friends.

Chelsea Pearson
Chelsea Pearson is a fourth-year at UCSB, double-majoring in English and Spanish. New to the campus once again after a year spent studying abroad in Barcelona, Chelsea is pursuing her interests in literature through research for her English Honor's Thesis and hopes to build a strong base for graduate study in English Literature. Yet her passion for Spanish still remains and inspires her to continue traveling before applying to grad school, this time teaching ESL in South America after graduating in June. However, her travel interests lie outside the Spanish-speaking world, as the politics and culture also draw her to many places throughout Europe. Her other hobbies include writing, photography, soccer and running.

Carlos Perez
Carlos Perez is a fourth-year Psychology and Sociology double major. Apart from his editor position, Carlos works as a resident assistant at Manzanita Village for the housing department at UCSB. He also holds an undergraduate research assistant position with the California Nanotechnology in Society Center. At CNS, Carlos works with the innovation group under the guidance of Professor Christopher Newfield, English Department primarily researching how key sectors of nanoscale research have been developing and to improve the operation of nanoscale innovation systems for any given level of funding and training. Aside from academia, Carlos enjoys dancing, baking, and traveling, just having completed at year abroad at the University of York, UK he strives to learn more about the world.

Cody Salfen
Cody Salfen is a fourth-year Communication major with a sport management minor. Cody transferred to UCSB in the fall of 2006 from San Jose State University, where he studied criminal justice. While attending SJSU, Cody worked with the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department in Santa Clara County. Here, Cody worked patrol, worked in the detective bureau with the property and evidence sector, worked with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, and the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Cody interned with the UCSB C.A.S.E. program as a Superior Court Representative, and is currently working as an intern in a criminal defense attorney’s office in downtown Santa Barbara. Upon graduating, Cody plans on taking a year off from school to travel, and then pursue a law degree. Cody is interested in working with criminal law upon graduation from law school.
